Welcome! My name is Ingrid, and with the birth of my second son, everything I thought I knew about children’s sleep was tested. He was an alert baby that was not interested in sleeping, but was more interested in the world around him. He came home from the hospital with his eyes wide-open and that's how he continued for months. Super-short naps, multiple night wakings and a general disinterest in sleep summed him up! I didn't know what to do- I was exhausted, frustrated, anxious about his sleep and depressed. I was given “GOOD NIGHT, SLEEP TIGHT: The Sleep Lady’s Gentle Guide to Helping Your Child Go to Sleep, Stay Asleep and Wake Up Happy” by Kim West aka “The Sleep Lady” as a gift. Her gentle guilt-free solutions worked and I was hooked! I realized after helping both my boys learn to sleep, that I enjoyed helping other people’s babies sleep, as well. I decided to become a Gentle Sleep Coach because I believe that every child has the ability to learn the skills necessary to become a great sleeper.
I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Exercise Science. I then went on to attend Bellarmine University to get my BSN and became a registered nurse. My medical background coupled with my passion for gentle sleep coaching is an ideal pairing.
My goal is to help clients all over the world, regardless of time zones and locations. So far, I have worked with families in seven different countries get more sleep and I hope to work with many more. No matter where you are living, we can work together to get your family sleeping again!
